Add the connector
Claude: click Add to Claude above — Muslim Xchange is in Claude’s connector directory, so it is one click, or search “Muslim Xchange” under Customize → Connectors.
ChatGPT: Settings → Connectors → create a connector with the address https://muslimxchange.com/mcp-server (Developer mode may need to be enabled, depending on your ChatGPT plan).
Sign in and allow
Click Connect. A muslimxchange.com page opens: sign in with your member account and click Allow. No API key to copy.
Ask
Turn the connector on in a chat and ask. Answers name the standard, the figures and the data publication they came from.

What the connection can and cannot do
Read-only
It looks up screening data on your behalf and nothing else. It cannot change anything, and it cannot see your account, payment details, keys, watchlists or portfolios.
Your plan, your access
The assistant reads exactly the fields your plan includes — the same rules as the API and the Excel add-in. Upgrade and it sees more; downgrade and it sees less.
Disconnect any time
Every connected assistant is listed on your API keys page with a last-used time and a Disconnect button. Disconnecting takes effect immediately.

Muslim Xchange is a listed connector in Claude’s directory, built on the open Model Context Protocol with OAuth sign-in over HTTPS — the same mechanism every directory connector uses.

Before you connect
Do I need an API key?
No. You sign in on muslimxchange.com when you connect, and approve the connection once. Keys are only for the HTTP API and the Excel add-in.
Which AI assistants work?
Claude (web, desktop and mobile) — find it in the connector directory — and ChatGPT with connectors enabled. Any assistant that supports the Model Context Protocol with OAuth can connect to the same address.
Does the assistant see my account or my portfolio?
No. The connection is read-only and limited to screening data for the listings you ask about. It cannot see your profile, keys, payment details, watchlists or portfolios.
Can the assistant get a verdict wrong?
The figures come straight from the dataset and each answer names the standard and the publication. As with any assistant, read the tool result it shows you; for anything you act on, confirm on the platform or through the API.
Are the amounts in my currency?
Purification and zakat are per share in USD for every listing, whatever currency the stock trades in, so portfolio totals are also in USD.
Does it count toward any limit?
There are no per-account limits on paid plans. The assistant’s requests appear in the usage figures on your API keys page, next to your keys.
How do I stop it?
Open your API keys page, find the assistant under AI assistants and click Disconnect. You can also remove the connector inside Claude or ChatGPT.
