The Company is organized into five business segments: the Optical retail segment relates to majority-owned companies, as well as non-controlling interests in companies that derive their revenues from the sale of optical products; the Other unquoted segment includes majority-owned companies, as well as non-controlling interests in companies that derive their revenues from various activities, such as hearing aid, office furniture, personal protection equipment, construction products, printing, shipping, orthopedic devices, media and other activities; the Quoted minority interests segment includes ownership in publicly traded associates; the Real Estate segment is related to the development and rental of multi-family properties and office buildings, and the Liquid portfolio segment consists of available for-sale financial assets and cash equivalent instruments generating interests, dividends and capital gains.
