VCT’s principal objectives are to invest in a portfolio of venture capital investments, primarily in United Kingdom and European Union, which is engaged in long term renewable energy projects and energy developers; maximize tax free capital gains and income to shareholders from dividends and capital distributions; maintain VCT status to enable shareholders to retain their 30% income tax relief on investment. It has invested in a portfolio of mature renewable energy generating assets that are generating electricity and earning revenues both from the sale of electricity and from government incentives to support the development of renewable energy generation capacity including feed-in tariffs and renewable obligation certificates. Gresham House Assets Management Limited is the Investment Adviser to the VCT.
