Gresham House Renewable Energy VCT 1 plc (VCT) is a United Kingdom-based venture capital trust that is invested in a portfolio of renewable energy projects in the United Kingdom, which it co-owns with Gresham House Renewable Energy VCT 2 plc. It seeks to invest in a portfolio of unquoted companies that specialize in long-term renewable energy projects. Its principal objective is to manage the VCT with the intention of realizing the sale or monetization otherwise of all remaining assets in the portfolio. It has invested in a portfolio of renewable energy generating assets that are mature, generating electricity and earning revenues both from the sale of electricity and from government incentives to support the development of renewable energy generation capacity, including feed-in tariffs and renewable obligation certificates. Gresham House Asset Management Limited is the Investment Adviser to the VCT.
