Aurora Energy Metals Limited is focused on the development of its flagship, 100% owned, Aurora Uranium Project (AUP) in south-east Oregon, United States. The AUP is located in Malheur County, Oregon, approximately 16 kilometers (km) northwest of the town of McDermitt, Nevada. The Company’s wholly owned subsidiary, Oregon Energy LLC, holds 100% of the Project as well as surrounding mining claims that extend to the west and to the south-east, across the Oregon/Nevada border. The mining claims are located on public lands in Oregon and Nevada and on a contiguous Company-owned block of private land in Nevada. The land tenure comprises approximately 451 unpatented lode mining claims and 71 unpatented placer mining claims in Malheur County, Oregon and 31 unpatented placer mining claims in Humboldt County, Nevada. The total area covered by these claims is approximately 43 square kilometers. The Project area is covered with a thin veneer of alluvium overlying lakebed sediments.
