Ramsdens Holdings PLC is a United Kingdom-based diversified financial services provider and retailer. The Company operates through four segments: Foreign Currency, Purchase of Precious Metals, Pawnbroking, and Retail of Jewelry & Watches. The foreign currency exchange segment comprises the sale and purchase of foreign currency notes to holidaymakers. The Pawnbroking segment consists of transaction an item of value, known as a pledge, (jewelry and watches), is held by the pawnbroker as security against a six-month loan. Through its precious metals buying service, the Company buys unwanted jewelry, gold and other precious metals from customers. The Company offers new and second-hand jewelry, including premium watches, for sale. It also offers additional services in cheque cashing, Western Union money transfer, credit broking and receiving franchise fees. It operates around 169 stores within the United Kingdom.
