Oman Chromite Company SAOG is a Sultanate of Oman-based company engaged in the mining, processing, and marketing of chromite ore. The Company operates in two main segments which include the production and sale of refractory materials such as chips and fines, and the production and sale of metallurgical-grade metal lumps. Its operations include geological studies, drilling, blasting, excavation, sorting, and transportation of ore from the mountains near Sohar. The Company utilizes a two-stage crushing system and a three-deck screening plant, with additional screening for fines under 5 mm using modern equipment to meet customer-specific size requirements. The Company also produces metallurgical chrome ore and refractory chrome ore, with a three-step manual sorting process. It is also involved in initiatives to enhance the value of local crude ore through ferrochrome projects and ore concentration improvements.
