Company Profile

Capital Power Corporation develops, acquires, owns and operates renewable and thermal power generation facilities and manages its related electricity and natural gas portfolios by undertaking trading and marketing activities. The Company is involved in the operation of electrical generation facilities within Canada, including Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario; and in the United States, including North Carolina, New Mexico, Kansas, Alabama, Arizona, North Dakota, Illinois, Texas and Michigan. It also holds a portfolio of wind and solar development sites in the United States and Canada. It builds, owns and operates generation facilities, which include renewables and thermal. It owns approximately 7,500 megawatts (MW) of power generation capacity at 29 facilities across North America. Its projects in advanced development include approximately 310 MW of owned renewable generation capacity in North Carolina and Alberta and 512 MW of incremental natural gas combined cycle capacity.
