Its EL 6812, Savoy Hill, is located approximately 30 kilometers to the north-west of Singleton, close to the Great Northern Railway line, in the upper Hunter Valley of New South Wales. The mining operations near Savoy Hill include Drayton Mine, Drayton South Project, Hunter Valley Operations and Mount Arthur, which are located to the north, west, south east and north-west of the study area, respectively.
