Sharjah Cement and Industrial Development Company PSC is a United Arab Emirates-based public shareholding company engaged in the manufacture and supply of cement, paper sacks and plastic ropes. The Company is active in two business segments: Manufacturing and Investment. The Manufacturing segment is organized into three divisions: the Cement division is engaged in the manufacture and supply of cement; the Paper sacks division is engaged in the manufacture and supply of paper sacks, and the Ropes division is engaged in the manufacture and supply of plastic ropes. The Investment segment is organized into two divisions: Investment and letting out of properties, mainly in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Kuwait, and Investment in public and private equities & funds, mainly in the Gulf Cooperative Council and Asia. The Company markets its products in the UAE and other countries in the Middle East and Africa.
